Men Can Sing is a program designed to:

Interest, encourage and inspire high school men to join their music choral programs. Nationally high school choral programs are in need of high school men.

Expand a student's world for meeting new friends and opening doors of opportunities. For some students going through tough times, it is a safe harbor and provides a path forward. In some cases, it's the only reason they come to school.

Learn proper foundational vocal fundamentals.
4. Designed to bring to the public's attention the vital importance music educators and their music programs are to students, their families, friends and to our communities.
Men Can Sing changes lives for the better.
How it works:

The Midnight Sons Chorus teaches the high school men two a cappella barbershop tunes.

Teachers are given high-quality learning materials from the Barbershop Harmony Society they will distribute to the students.

The Midnight Sons music team offers assistance to the teachers by attending the schools to help work with the students on the music.

A half-day workshop is held with all students led by educator Eddie Martinez from Austin, TX, and one of the best a cappella coaches in the Barbershop Harmony Society. The Midnight Sons participate in the workshop to help the young men out.

At the end of the workshop, pizza and drinks are served to the students.

A free performance with the Midnight Sons featuring Men Can Sing is held that evening.

** Although we specify high school men in the Anchorage/Mat-Su, our intent is to reach out to homeschool students, private schools, and expand into middle schools. We've had some middle school students and their educators attend. Our program started in 2018, but the Pandemic disrupted it. Not only did we begin rebuilding Men Can Sing but rebuilding our chorus as well. Our intent is to provide a quality program for students, parents and our educators.
